For Schools & Educational Institutions

Hosting built for education.

A school website, a district-wide portal, a dozen departmental sites, or a student project — the requirements are not the same, and neither is the right plan. Tell us which you are running and we will tell you which one fits.

What schools tend to need

Not a different product — a different set of things that matter about the same one.

One account, many sites

Departments, clubs, a library, a handful of course sites — shared hosting is built around true multiple-domain support, and the Enterprise plan carries 10 included domains with unlimited parked domains and subdomains on top. You do not need a separate account per site.

Student projects start at $3.95

A single site on the Basic shared plan is the least expensive way in, with 120 GB of storage and free SSL. It is enough for a class project or a small departmental site without committing a budget line to it.

Room for the September spike

Enrolment week and results day are the two moments a school site cannot fall over. VPS plans let you raise CPU and memory when you need them and bring them back down afterwards, rather than paying year-round for one week of traffic.

Support at the hours you actually work

Site problems tend to surface in the evening, when whoever maintains the site finally sits down with it. Support is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, by phone, email or ticket — and a person answers.

Your data stays in the US

Both data centers are in the United States — Orange County, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. If where student and staff data physically sits is a question your institution has to answer, that is the answer.

We move the existing site for you

Free of charge, onto a temporary URL first, so you can check every page and form works before the domain is pointed at us. No downtime mid-term while somebody decides.

Which plan, in practice

A single school site running WordPress is usually happiest on WordPress hosting from $11.50/mo, which gives it dedicated memory and automatic backups rather than a shared pool. Several small sites across departments fit shared hosting from $3.95/mo. A district portal, a student information front end, or anything with its own application stack belongs on a VPS from $24.50/mo, where the resources are yours and can be raised as the roll grows.

Moving up a plan later is normal and we handle it for you — and we will tell you exactly what the new price is before anything changes. If procurement needs a written quote first, ask and we will put one together.
